Danish Crown is
Europe's largest slaughterhouse company, slaughtering about 18.7 million pigs which is 73 percent of the
total danish pig production. The company is owned by 12,000 co-op pig farmers and
employs around 13,000 workers in its pork business.Affiliated companies are Tulip Food
Company, Tulip Ltd (UK), Plumrose USA Inc.(USA), Sokolow (Poland), ESS-FOOD, DSI
(DAT-Schaub International), DAT-Schaub amba and Scan Hide. In total Danish Crown employs around
25,000 people in its abattoirs and processing plants at home and
abroad.

TiCan slaughters 1.6 million pigs annually, accounting for 6.2 per cent of the total
danish pig production. The company is owned by 700 co-op pig
farmers and employs more than 1,400 workers at its abattoirs and processing
facilities in Denmark and abroad. Affiliated companies are TiCan Foods, TiCan UK
Holding Ltd., TiCan UK Ltd., TiCan Chilled Ltd., Direct Taable Foods Ltd. and
part of the German Euro Century Fleisch G.m.b.H.
